Privacy policy
Last updated: 06/2026
Protecting your personal data matters to me. OmniPack works without an account and without forms. Below you can read which data is processed when you visit this website.
1. Controller
Florian Oberhumer
Eggerding 6

Austria
Email: florian@oberhumerdesign.at
2. Security (SSL/TLS encryption)
This website is only served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), shown by “https://” and the lock icon in your browser's address bar.
3. Hosting & server log files
This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When you open the website, the provider automatically records information your browser sends in server log files: browser type/version, operating system, referrer URL, IP address and time of the request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is delivering the website securely and without technical errors. The log files are kept only as long as needed for operation and troubleshooting and are then deleted automatically. Transfers to the USA are covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework; Google LLC is certified).
4. Your app selection and the install scripts
Selecting apps and creating the install files (.bat, .ps1) and commands happens entirely in your browser. Your selection is never sent to me or to third parties. Share links carry the selection after the # sign, which browsers do not send to the server. A winget export file (PC migration) is only read locally in your browser and never uploaded.
When you run a generated script on your PC, winget downloads the programs from Microsoft's servers (winget, Microsoft Store) or from the respective vendors. Their privacy policies apply to that.
5. Fonts and icons
This website's fonts and app icons are loaded from this server, not from Google Fonts or other providers.
6. Cookies & local storage
Google only sets advertising cookies with your consent (see “Advertising with Google AdSense”); Google's consent tool stores your choice in a technically necessary cookie.
Your browser's local storage only keeps settings you make yourself, on your device: theme (light/dark), language, your current app selection, whether you hid hints, and your choice in the privacy notice. This information never leaves your device and is only used to make the website work (§ 165(3) TKG 2021, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
7. Advertising with Google AdSense
To keep OmniPack free, I show ads through Google AdSense, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). For this, your browser loads code from Google when you open the app page, which sends your IP address and information about your browser and device to Google.
Visitors from the EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom are asked by Google's certified consent tool (IAB Transparency & Consent Framework) whether Google may use cookies and similar identifiers for personalised ads, measurement and fraud prevention. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) TKG 2021). Without consent Google only shows limited, non-personalised ads without such cookies; loading the ad code is then based on my legitimate interest in funding the free service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via “Privacy settings” at the very bottom of the app page. Transfers to Google LLC (USA) are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More: How Google uses data from sites, Google's privacy policy, Google ad settings.
8. External links
Links to vendor pages, the Microsoft Store, Ko-fi or GitHub only open those sites when you click them. From then on the respective provider's privacy policy applies.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent and objection. To exercise these rights, simply send me an email at florian@oberhumerdesign.at.
If you believe the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority:

Note: this privacy policy was written to the best of my knowledge and is not legal advice.
